Palm Desert Open
Hi to all,
Just a reminder, we are again putting on the Palm Desert Open, November 11-12, 2006, Saturday and Sunday, at College of the Desert, in the Wright Gymnasium.
If your child is going to fence in the event, please go to our website, www.desertfencingacademy.com and click on Palm Desert Open to print out an entry form.
The entry form and payment goes to Midi Cox in San Diego.
The deadline for the entry form is November 6.
Our website also has days and times for the event.
Also, we will be setting up the gym on Friday, November 10, starting around 6:00 p.m.
If and of your kids would like to help, that would be a big help as we have to set up 10 strips,
all the electrical gear, we will have one dedicated copper strip, and we need to set up for registration. The set up should take us two hours with help.
Also, I will need volunteers to help with registration check in and giving out tee shirts at registration and some volunteer help in the referee lounge.
Also, we have a shuttle van and if someone would like to volunteer to do some driving from the hotel to the venue and airport to hotel and venue, let me know and we'll get you set up for that.
The tournament committee is made up of myself, Diane Whan and Pacific Coast Secretary, Midi Cox, so we will need volunteer help for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
