February News 2009 -Update-
Hi to All,
This is a quick news flash to all fencers and their families as February is a short, and busy, month.
Saturday, February 14, Close at 1:00 p.m.
So, I’m asking all my sabre fencers to please come from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for fencing and their lesson and for my afternoon fencers, mostly epee fencers, to please come from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for their lesson, then I’ll close at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, February 21, No Fencing at DFA.
On Saturday, February 21, we have a USFA/San Bernardino Division tournament at College of the Desert. Sabre fencing begins at 9:30 a.m., foil at 10:30 a.m. and epee at 12:30 p.m.
On Saturday, February 28, DFA will celebrate its sixth anniversary!
We will have our anniversary party, (there will be cake and coffee) from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We’ll finish up the fencing early so we can have time to socialize and eat cake and not worry about blades swooshing around us!
